What Do I Offer?

In conjunction with my efforts as the founding partner of a prestigious and highly successful Executive Recruiting Firm, I am an Executive and Communication Coach. What exactly does this mean? Well, I help you identify communication oriented challenges in your professional and/or personal lives, and remedy them. I am not going to waste my time by wasting yours with a bunch of sales hype and BS… My educational, experiential and professional backgrounds, along with my book (The Communication Genome Project, pending publication, see the Table of Contents) and the information I provide on my blog speak for themselves. In my opinion, prepackaged and rigidly structured approaches to this type of coaching, and these types of services, is highly indicative of a “failure to launch” program right out of the gate. Communication is thought, and thought is communication… Both of which are highly dynamic, fluid and ever changing in the way they manifest. As such, identifying the issue and remedying it is sharply analogous to the process of hitting a moving target. So if you show up to the hunt, with a gun that is rigidly set on it’s tripod and aimed at a specific point, you had better hope that the prey shows up in its sights, or you lose… In light of this irrefutable fact, the way in which I function is only bound by 4 steps that comprise a broad structure of execution.

1. Assessment – I spend 1 – 3 sessions with you and/or your “team” to determine what the challengers are, from both your perspective and mine prior to discussing potential solutions.

2. Prescription and Execution – In this, I layout a macro-structure of execution that describes the flow of our solution-process and why we are doing it. It is important for you to not only understand what we are going to do, but also why we are doing it. In doing this, I take a very cognitive approach by educating you while helping to remedy issues through developing appropriate and effective skill sets.

3. Skill Training & Development – I help you to learn, practice and implement the specific skills that are necessary to accomplish your goals.Here we are taking a micro-structured position and putting the proverbial “meat” on the skeleton elaborated upon in our prescription phase.

4. Followup and Assessment – Once the skills are being deployed in the real world by you and/or your team, we will use formalized follow up sessions to assess, and if necessary, revamp your processes to accomplish the goals that have been set.

So what are the exact processes by which I perform each of these steps? Well, that depends on the challenges presented and the goals that we are working to achieve.
